What is not a good thing is, of course, the departure of Ronald Kuman, who recently signed for Barcelona, which automatically meant that he would stop leading the Dutch national team from the bench. For the acting Dwight Lodeveges was appointed coach, who is undoubtedly facing a difficult task. On his debut, this expert came to a triumph over Poland, when it was 1: 0, so the "tulips" more than successfully started the new season in the League of Nations
Italy fell into a serious crisis after the title of world champion in 2006, and the impression is that only Roberto Mancini managed to revive this selection a bit.
Namely, the former coach of Inter and Manchester City won a place in the European Championship with the "Azures", because the Italians took a convincing first place in their group with as many as twelve points more than the second-placed Finland.
It is interesting that Robert Mancini's team has never been as efficient as it was in the previous qualifications, and the best indicator of that is the fact that Italy scored as many as 37 goals in ten matches, while they received only four, and certainly this perhaps best reflects how well the Italians played in the previous period.
As for the new season in the League of Nations, "Azure" did not start this newly formed competition in the best way, as they only drew against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first round at home, and that duel ended with the result 1: 1.
The goal for the Italians was scored by Sensi, and it is interesting that the BiH national team was the first to take the lead in that duel when the legendary Edin Dzeko scored.
By the way, it was the twelfth consecutive match in which the "Azures" scored at least one goal.
